A collective of educators and students engages in immersive art- and design-driven practice to reimagine higher-education and primary-school teaching and learning at, and beyond, the University of Teacher Education.

Rooted in curiosity, care and attentiveness to diverse histories and voices, the collective offers open-ended impulses that anyone can adapt, question or extend across a growing constellation of educational hubs.

Check-In: Team Co-Alignment

Overview:

Mentally synchronize the group before an intensive seminar or internship phase, honouring each member’s strengths, challenges, and well-being.

  1. Gather Materials:
Give each person five sticky notes and a pen.

  2. Silent Reflection (5 min):
    On separate notes, each writes:
    • Name
    • Teaching Strength
    • Teaching Challenge
    • Energy Level (1–10) for the coming days
    • Optional: any emotional or physical needs

  3. Round-Robin Sharing (10 min):
In turn, each team member briefly presents their notes.
    As a group, reflect on:
    • What collective strengths can we lean on?
    • Where do we see opportunities for support or growth?
    • How is our overall energy level?
    • What conditions help us feel secure and respected?

Cultural & Contextual Sensitivity:
Participation is voluntary and different backgrounds shape how we define strengths, challenges, and well-being. Honour each person’s comfort level, invite—but never require—sharing of personal contexts, and build on this awareness to co-design a supportive, inclusive team experience.
