A collective of educators and students engages in immersive art- and design-driven practice to reimagine higher-education and primary-school teaching and learning at, and beyond, the University of Teacher Education.

Rooted in curiosity, care and attentiveness to diverse histories and voices, the collective offers open-ended impulses that anyone can adapt, question or extend across a growing constellation of educational hubs.

Method: World Café

Overview:

A rotating table exercise that helps participants collectively unpack thematic areas—such as core competencies or course topics—through dialogue, mapping and light research.

  1. Table Setup:
Arrange four stations, each with two theme cards placed around a simple concentric-wheel template. Provide each station with markers and a brief descriptor for its two themes.

  2. Station Exploration (10 min):
In groups of four, read the provided descriptions and annotate the wheel by writing associations, questions or examples in each segment. Conduct a quick desk-research (digital or paper) to enrich your notes.

  3. Rotation & Relay (4×5 min):
After five minutes, three participants move clockwise to the next station, while the “anchor” stays to welcome newcomers and explain the accumulated associations and questions.

  4. Collective Harvest (10 min):
Once all rotations are complete, reconvene at your original table to review the full wheel. Identify emerging patterns, surprises or gaps across the four sessions.

  5. Group Reflection & Next Steps (5 min):
As a cohort, highlight two or three priority themes that will inform upcoming design decisions. Note any areas needing deeper exploration or alternative perspectives.

Contextual Sensitivity & Respectful Design:
Observations and insights stem from varied cultural backgrounds and lived experiences. Honour each contributor’s context by amplifying less-heard voices, sharing authority over interpretation, and ensuring every wheel becomes a starting point for inclusive and respectful design.
