Methode: We for You Wheel
A concentric reflection tool guiding educator teams through layered commitments—from foundational values to moment-to-moment actions—to affirm every child’s dignity.
-
Core Values (Outer Ring)
-
Appreciation & Recognition: “We honour each child as a unique person, regardless of performance or behavior.”

Attention to Details (Center Hub)

Sharpened Gaze: “We cultivate acute awareness of small cues—gestures, words, silences—that reveal deeper needs and strengths.”

- In teams, draw the wheel on a flip-chart or digital board. Label each ring with your own phrasing.
-
Individually, note concrete behaviors or strategies in each zone (e.g., greeting rituals, seating arrangements, reflective pauses).
-
Share examples in pairs, then discuss as a group how these layers interact to create an inclusive learning culture.
- Commit to one small change per zone for your next lesson or meeting.
Cultural & Contextual Sensitivity:
Values and actions emerge from diverse cultural, social, and power dynamics. Honour each child’s intersecting identities—culture, language, ability—and question assumptions embedded in standard practices. Use locally resonant language and materials when mapping your wheel.
Key Insight:
By layering broad values down to attentiveness in the moment, teams co-design learning environments that are both deeply respectful and richly responsive.
